I had my shrimps (Neocaridina) for 5 years and I find them amusing. My first and only batch bought were blue, with a few brown strays in the bag. After some time, I saw berried ones, producing more browns in my shrimp tank. As time went on, I’ve seen some red shrimps, some red and whites, a couple of greenish ones, the comeback of the blue ones, some blacks, and some striped from head to tail. These days, my shrimps are back to brown.
I usually find them nibbling happiliy on whatever they can find. Or surfing on the pump’s waterflow.
On very boring days, I would try to find the shrimp population among the plants, and discover tiny shrimp juveniles.
Everyday is a good day in the tank.
